How to play The Last Stand: Dead Zone

The Last Stand: Dead Zone is a zombie survival game: you fortify your compound, attract survivors, send teams to scavenge the city and fight the infected. You play in your browser, with nothing to install, using an account of your own that saves your progress.

Getting started

  1. Create your account and follow the tutorial: it teaches you to build the workbench and the food and water storage and to welcome your first survivor.
  2. Build and upgrade buildings from the construction menu (the hammer). Construction takes time and can be sped up with fuel.
  3. Assign your survivors to tasks (clearing junk, producing resources) and equip them with weapons and clothing.

Missions

Open the city map, pick a zone, form your team and jump in: move your survivors, search containers, fight the zombies and leave through the exit zone with your loot. Injured survivors need time to heal and teams take time to return.

Chat

Chat is available from the start: you can talk to other players from the radio bar in the game. Be respectful: the team moderates the chat.
